Why BandUp exists

BandUp is for students preparing for IELTS, TOEFL, or PTE speaking. It is a practice network, not a dating app, not a course, and not an official exam product.

Be here to practice

Keep conversations about language practice. Do not recruit people to Instagram, WhatsApp, Telegram, or other apps. Off-platform contact is a reportable reason and messages that share those handles are filtered.

Respect

No harassment, hate, sexual content, spam, or impersonation. Report and block are in every chat and partner profile. Reports are anonymous. We aim to review within 24 hours. Staff may review direct messages to enforce these guidelines and the law.

Child sexual abuse and exploitation

Sexual content involving anyone 17 or under is forbidden. We remove it, block the account, and follow Play Child Safety Standards, including preserving needed records and reporting to the relevant authority where required. BandUp is for ages 13 and over. Full published standards: Child safety standards.

Photos

Avatars stay private until they pass review. A rejected photo is not shown to others. Do not upload sexual, violent, or someone else’s image without permission.

Voice calls

Calls are never recorded or transcribed by BandUp. Report a person, not a recording.
